Malaysia International Fashion Week
presented by Maxis is the fashion event of the year

29th October, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia International Fashion Alliance (m-ifa) are continuing it’s leadership in encouraging the international aspirations of Malaysia fashion with the staging of Malaysia International Fashion Week 2010 which highlights fashion of the year. Promising to be a feast for the senses while promoting an awareness of the need to care for the environment, the event will be held from 2-6 November 2010 at Pavilion KL. The 5-day event will feature 18 fashion shows, the creations of more than 70 designers. Among the highlights is the launch of Maxis's online mobile fashion portal. .

Leading Malaysia fashion labels, celebrated world-class designers, up-and-coming design talents and promising fashion students come together to present their latest collections. The stage will also be open to charity children's fashion show titled 'mifa Fashion Gives Back' for the opening slot, along with a special preview exhibition of miniature human sculptures in various artistically rendered dioramas.

For the Malaysia International Fashion Week 2010, Pavilion KL will be transformed to a ‘Grand Runway’ – a superb stage of international standard where the fringe event will host Malaysia International Fashion Awards (M-IFA) Gala. Mifa's online TV series, Who's Next Model Search & Who's Next Designer Search hosted by Face of M-IFW' 10, Kavita Sidhu, and top model Deborah Henry respectively will also be shown on mifa's revamped online portal .

A solo photo exhibition featuring 100 iconic Malaysia personalities by Malaysia's very own Mario Testino, Japan trained professional photographer Bustaman Mokhtar. m-ifa is organize a Paris Contest where one lucky Grand Prize winner will have a chance to travel to Paris with mifa and witness an actual fashion shoot for Glam Magazine featuring Deborah Henry.

This high-anticipate fashion event is held in collaboration Bumiputra Designers Association (BDA), Young Designer Arena (YODA), the Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) and the Malaysian Official Designers Association (MODA)  are expected to put on an outstanding case for the full leap ahead of local talents, moving toward creating a cohesive brand image of Malaysia’s fashion industry.
