Potential Growth For Asian Market.



25 May 2011, Singapore – Asia’s first international fashion trade platform returns for a more impressive more than 100 brands and more than 200 buyers with a four-day trade exhibition which includes a consumer sales extravaganza at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

BLUEPRINT tradeshow host international launch of cruise collections from Asia’s rising fashion stars and the best of emerging designers from the West. This year BLUEPRINT is twice the size of its inaugural last year edition.

Among the labels that have made impact into Asian and international markets in their first showing at BLUEPRINT were Utt’er (Singapore), Second Issue (Thailand), J. JS Lee (UK) and Wes Gordon (New York).

Ms Tjin Lee, Mercury’s Marketing Director, says: “With the economy picking up and the world looking to Asia for the latest trends, Singapore’s strategic location, excellent airport and MICE facilities, and our vibrant retail scene make us the ideal destination and gateway for the global fashion community looking for a gateway into the Asian fashion industry”.

BLUEPRINT has opened its doors to the public to create buzz for the fashion public in general. It offers a unique shopping experience to consumers at trade event. Apart from seasonal and sample sales items of the exhibitors of the BLUEPRINT trade fair, Blueprint Emporium also offer exclusive and limited-edition handmade apparel and accessories and lifestyle design items from around the world.

Said Ms Lee Puay Min, Divisional Director of IE Singapore’s Retail Division, Lifestyle Business Group, “Local and Asian designers exhibiting at Blueprint 2011 has doubled from the previous year. As the anchor for the trade aspect of AFX, Blueprint will contribute significantly to vision Singapore as the gateway for Asian fashion.”


BLUEPRINT is one of the four pillars under the Asia Fashion Exchange (AFX) developing the long-term sustainability of Singapore’s fashion industry by building capability and profiling Asian talent on an international platform to position Singapore as Asia’s leading Fashion Capital.

BLUEPRINT is being organised by the Blueprint Group, a joint venture between a joint venture between Textile and Fashion Federation of Singapore (TaFF), Mercury Marketing and Communications Pte Ltd and MP Asia Pte Ltd (MP Asia).
