The first underwater runway show in Thailand will be the major highlights for Bangkok International Fashion Week 2010. Promising to be a feast for the fashion senses and initiative to promotes an awareness of the need to care for the environment, the event will be held from 18-21 March 2010 at Parc Paragon, Siam Paragon.
  



 

Malaysia's biggest fashion event; STYLO Fashion Grand Prix KL 2010 will return for the third consecutive year carrying a strong environmental message "RECYCLYING IS THE NEW BLACK".  Fashion GP showcase kicking off on 25 March; MODA (Malaysian Official Designers Association), BDA (Bumiputra Designers Association), Islamic Fashion Festival and independent designers will be feature during the festival.
  



 

ELLE Magazine Thailand restates its status as the leader in the Thai fashion industry by hosting ELLE Fashion Week 2009 Autumn/Winter at CentralWorld Shopping Mall. Fashion Week creates international quality centre stage in support for Thailand designers to launch and showcase their latest collections to the audience. 
  



 

 Malaysia's most prestigious fashion showcase is back again with comprising 18 fashion showcases by 99 designers. M-IFW 2009 is scheduled from 4th November to 8th November 2009, with leading mobile services provider Maxis as its Main Presenter. The five-day fashion extravaganza will take place at Pavilion shopping mall, Kuala Lumpur.
  



 

 An exciting line up of more than 60 designers will present collections inspired by the country’s rich cultural heritage that are sure to make waves within the global fashion scene. For seven days straight, this festival will gather fashion enthusiasts, buyers, celebrities, fashion critics as well as local and international media together to witness firsthand the latest and most anticipated fashion trends coming out of Indonesia’s finest designers..
  


 

Promoting an awareness of the need to care for the planet earth, the event was recently held from 19th till 22nd March 2009 at Siam Paragon, Bangkok. . Fashion Week promises a feast for the senses while budget to host fringe event is estimates of more than 40 million baht.
  



 

 STYLO Fashion Grand Prix KL 2009 will hosting a gathering of local and international designers presenting extravagant, vibrant, piquant, and exciting fashion shows to the runways of STYLO. Setting flag race for fashion scene in Kuala Lumpur from the 28th March till 5th April,  the fashion grand prix promises fashion, after-parties, style icons, fashionistas and racing enthusiasts together under one roof.
  


 

The first ever Audi Fashion Festival 2009 are set to rock the runways that rule its couture salons in Singapore. Kicking off the five-day festival will be an haute couture show by the legendary French fashion house of Christian Lacroix. Bringing this exquisite presentation in Singapore, guests at the show will enjoy a night of fine dining at a black-tie gala dinner held in the Tent@Orchard.

STYLO Fashion Grand Prix was founded and organize by STYLO  INTERNATIONAL president Datuk Nancy Yeoh.

M-IFW '08 made its mark in international premier fashion event by presenting the largest gathering of Asian fashion talents in this year edition of Trend Asia which starts from 26th November to 29th November 2008. Presenting the latest trends and creations in Islamic Fashion to an international audience, Kuala Lumpur takes the limelight and highlight inspired attires of the Muslim community with the sixth installation of Islamic Fashion Festival, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hu Shequang designed haute couture for members of the Dutch Royal Family, especially designed the couture for the Dutch Queen. He is the fashion designer for many stage performance and advertisements in Holland, including Proche. Hu Shequang has selected as a member of the fashion design team for Beijing Olympic Games 2008.  




 

Malaysian twin designers Azalea Ramli and Yasmin Ramli of PU3 will showcase their collection together with the hottest emerging designers from Australia, Vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. Gracing since 2004, M-IFW has become a yearly fixture in global fashion calendars.  



 

World Vision dedicated to working with Island Shop for improving poverty and helping children, families and communities. To support the cause, Tote bags are selling in various designs to funds Thusalushaka Area Development Programme (ADP) which aims at produce goods and services needed for the survival of the communities in Thusalushaka.  



 

Nurita Harith, Jimmy Lim, Justin Yap, Alexandrea Yeo and twin designers from PU3 Azalea Ramli and Yasmin Ramli were showcase latest collection from the shelf in a famous bar and restaurant Frangipani. In conjunction with Berjaya Time Square's KL Fusion Week 2008, VOIR COLLECTION, the new line of career wear was officially launched. The show featured guest appearance by VOIR's Brand Ambassador and International Artiste, Bernice Liu. Also featured in the evening's function was the year-end collection from VOIR JEANS and VOIR CLOTHING.


 

Malaysia's National Final was held at the Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur riches shopping mall. Merlin Yuwita is one of 12 finalists competing for the National title and she will represent Malaysia to compete with 30 winners representing their countries to be crowned as the International winner in Beijing. The winning piece will also be paraded by the country's top model, Amber Chia respectively.

Designer Profile

Gillian Hung, President of the Malaysian Official Designers' Association (MODA), is a pioneer in the Malaysian fashion industry. Known as "Mama G" among the members in fashion industry, the former fashion and design director of Isetan and former CEO of Fashion Academy of Creative Technology (FACT), is also a fashion designer, retail consultant, fashion academic and corporate grooming consultant.
